Each spring, the Global Down Syndrome Foundation hosts the Be Beautiful Be Yourself DC Gala. Washington’s most powerful and influential leaders and professional athletes gather to support Down syndrome research and advocacy at the Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome. In 2014, Global held the Be Beautiful Be Yourself Gala at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel, where the Multi-Platinum Singer-Songwriter Leona Lewis performed.
